With ePIPE's technology, there is little, if any, lost revenue during the restoration process. Only those portions of the building being restored are closed. In office buildings, tenants hardly know the process is taking place. And in guest or residence structures water is accessible throughout most of the process.
Whether you are a building manager, maintenance engineer or property owner you can appreciate these advantages - as well as the fact that little or no renovation is required after completing the ePIPE process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who has used ACE DuraFlo®?
Since the 1990’s, ACE DuraFlo’s patented ePIPE technology has been chosen by homeowners nation wide as well as some of the nations leading brands have chosen ACE DuraFlo. Mr. Rooter, Roto-Rooter and American Leak Detection, all leaders in their fields have chosen ePIPE. Companies including Boeing, Disney, British Petroleum, Hilton, Four Seasons, Sheraton and Marriott Hotels have all chosen ACE DuraFlo. The US Air Force, US Navy and the Army Corp of Engineers have chosen ACE DuraFlo. ACE DuraFlo provides pipe restoration services in the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe.
What type of pipes can the ACE DuraFlo® process restore?
The ACE DuraFlo® System is designed and approved to restore both metallic and non-metallic piping systems.
Is the ACE DuraFlo® ePIPE, NSF approved?
YES! The epoxy used in the ACE DuraFlo process is certified safe for use in potable water systems by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) Rule 61 and is listed for immediate return to service, ensuring you with the highest quality product.
How thick is the epoxy lining and will my water volume be reduced?
ACE DuraFlo’s engineered epoxy and its patented system of application provide an approved lining system that complies with equivalency of new pipe standards which includes water flow. Independent verifications tests and audits were completed by ICC Evaluation Services and ACE’s evaluation report, ESR 1390, may be found online at http://www.icc-es.org/reports/index.cfm.
Effective October 2007, ACE DuraFlo was the only small diameter pipe restoration company to be independently audited for code equivalency verification.
Does EPIPE protect against lead and copper from leaching into my drinking water?
YES! One of the most serious effects of pipe corrosion is lead contamination. The primary way lead enters drinking water is a result of corrosion of materials containing lead. These materials include, lead-based solder joints on copper pipes and pipes made of lead that connect your house to the water main or service line. ACE DuraFlo’s epoxy pipe lining solutions provide an effective barrier to protect against lead and copper from leaching into your drinking water.
How durable is ACE’s ePIPE epoxy?
Testing conducted as part the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) and ICC-NES in conjunction with the ACE DuraFlo® listing process under both the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) showed that all tests surpassed their standards for equivalency of new plumbing products.
Can ACE DuraFlo® save us money over a repipe?
YES! Since ACE DuraFlo restores a building's piping system within the walls, owners save money by not destroying walls, and having to patch, tape, texture, paint, wallpaper or tile. The savings in the reconstruction cost makes pipe restoration the less expensive alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does ACE DuraFlo® outlast a repipe?
YES! New pipes start to deteriorate the moment the water is turned on. ePIPE® protected pipes prevent water from coming in contact with the pipe wall, protecting the pipes from future corrosion or pinhole leaks.
Will carpet and flooring be protected?
Floor covers are put down before work begins. ACE DuraFlo technicians take pride and great care to ensure your home and its contents are protected.
How do you keep shower and tub valves from getting “gummed up”?
We use engineered adapters to fit most manufacturers’ valves which allow us to bypass the valve and directly access the pipe.
With the ACE DuraFlo® process, can the destruction of walls be avoided?
Yes! Unlike a repipe, which must open walls to replace pipes, the ACE DuraFlo® patented process restores a pipe right within the walls. In most cases, no walls have to be opened at all. If a crew does need to gain access to a mixing valve, a small opening will be made and the wall will be returned to paint ready condition.
Can tenants and residents stay in their home during the restoration?
YES! The ACE DuraFlo process is fast, clean and quiet and should not compromise a resident’s standard of living.
What happens if I want to remodel or make modifications to the plumbing after the pipes have been restored? Can only ACE DuraFlo® technicians perform them?
Any repairs or modifications to epoxy lined pipes may be performed by any plumber, but they must be carried out using flameless technology. We suggest using push-on fittings, such as Sharkbites, which can be found at any plumbing wholesaler.
Will the epoxy make my water taste different?
Many approving agencies test for taste and odor from ePIPE protected piping systems and report no effect. However, it may take a day or two for the odor of the NSF Certified pipe compound used to connect fittings, to completely disappear. Some customers who have been drinking water supplied by rusted pipes report a “cleaner taste”.

Air
Drying
Air hoses are connected
to the piping system. The isolated system
is then dried with preheated, filtered air.
|
 |
|
|
Cleaning
The dried pipes
are cleaned using an air and abrasive
mixture that prepares the inside surface
of the pipes for proper bonding of
the epoxy. An air and corundum mixture is used to sandblast the inside of the leaky pipes.
|
 |
|
|
Epoxy Coating
The final stage
of the ePIPE¨ process is the application
of the copper pipe epoxy coating lining to the system.
This seals and protects the piping
system from future corrosion.
